CAREGIVER/PERSONAL SUPPORT AIDE

A professional in TORONTO, ON requires an experienced LOCAL Caregiver/Personal Support Aide/ Home Support Worker with recent relevant, paid work experience or training to care for a young Special Needs child with Global Developmental Delays and other High Medical Needs (who attends full time school) and supervise and assist her with her Activities of Daily Living while parent is at work.

Job  Duties and Responsibilities:

–      Care for my five year old High Medical Needs’ child’s needs and supervise her activities before and after school when parent is at work; 

–      Help bathe, dress and feed her breakfast and get her ready for and bring her back from school, read to her, play with her, play with her and assist her with her homework
– Cook simple meals, supervise her medications  and ensure that my child has her meals and medications  on time
– Tend to his emotional well being; provide  care
– Perform light housekeeping chores around my child’s needs and do her  laundry, fold and keep away her clothes
– Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
– Keep my child’s living areas neat and clean, hygienic and organized
– Maintain a safe, secure and organized home environment for my child

Salary

$21. TO $23. Per Hour for a 30  Hour work week 

Education Requirements

-Must have Canadian High School Diploma, have completed High School or have equivalent education from elsewhere.

Essential Skills

Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be warm, loving, kind, Honest, trustworthy, reliable, punctual, flexible, neat and clean and organized, must be able to assist seni, must have initiative and be able to bond well with senior and keep him safe and follow his routine.

Experience

– Must have One to Two years of Full-time, Paid, Relevant Work Experience caring for a wheel   with a  for High Medical Needs/ Disabled child/ person within the last three years.

Languages

Must Be Fluent In English

Weight Handling

-Should be able to handle upto 10 kgs

Additional Skills

Must be warm, loving, kind, competent, mature and experienced in working with seniors and be able to follow their routine and be able to help child with her Activities of Daily Living and support their emotional well-being
