Aide, Health Care

 

Job Title: Aide, Health Care (NOC: 33102)

Employer: Southern Comfort Villa Residence

Location:  1394 King Ave, Bathurst, NB E2A 1S8

 Wage: $21.50/hour for 37.5 hours a week

Vacancy:  6 vacancies

Employment groups to include: persons with disabilities, indigenous, newcomers to Canada, student, and vulnerable youth

Terms of employment: Term or contract

Start Date: as soon as possible

Job Requirements:

Languages

  • English or French

Education

·       Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

  • At least 3 years to less than 5 years

Duties:

·      Attend calls signals of the patients/residents promptly

·      Assist the patients/residents with their daily living activities such as eating, showering, dressing and using the toilet

·      Take and monitor the patients’ vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature and report on their conditions

·      Perform other procedures as directed by nursing and hospital staff

·      Transport and accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort

·      Make beds and tidy the patients’ rooms

·      Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support.

·      Nursing Home/Home for the aged
