  Job Description

Max’s Restaurant is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring an exceptional experience for both customers and staff. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with a deep understanding of restaurant operations, staff management, and customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
  • Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
  • Monitor staff performance
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Set staff work schedules
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Provide customer service
  • Manage events
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions

Education
Completion of secondary school

Experience
5+ years of restaurant management experience

Employment type: Full-time, permanent 30-40 hours/ week 
Language required: English, written and verbal
