Building Operator – Maintenance

💲 $36.00 hourly / 30 hours per week
🕒 Permanent | Full-time
📅 Start date: As soon as possible

About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Operator – Maintenance to join our team. The ideal candidate is proactive, capable of working independently, and experienced in maintaining building operations to ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment. This role is best suited for someone with strong problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in general maintenance and facility upkeep.

 Job Requirements

Language:

  • English

Education:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years

Work Setting:

  • Office building
  • On-site (no remote work option)

Key Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste
  • Empty trash cans and waste containers
  • Clean windows, interior walls, ceilings, and bathrooms
  • Perform minor repairs on heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Coordinate and contact contractors for major repairs and maintenance
  • Conduct safety and security checks
  • Supervise other maintenance workers when required
  • Move furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform routine maintenance such as painting and drywall repair
  • Maintain outdoor areas including snow and ice removal
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
